Haust Happenings (lame I know)

It's Friday. Yay. Here are some things we did this past week-ish.

~We stopped being sick. It's been a really long week of sickness and I am so glad it's over. I am also so glad that Jericho didn't get sick.

(This was our trip to the Dr. last week. I had to break out my original "double" stroller so that we would fit it in the room. This is safe right?)

~I have successfully washed everything my children have touched in the last week. If it fit in the washer, it got washed. That included a few loved stuffed animals, rugs, towels, curtains, all bedding, couch cushions, throw pillows....everything. I wasn't exaggerating. I did 19 loads of laundry this week. Wow.

~I have disinfected everything. Went through an entire gallon of bleach and vinegar.

~I ran my dishwasher 10 times since last Friday. Normally we only run it twice in a week.

~We went to the park. With these awesome friends. It was our first day out of the house and it was glorious.

~The kids helped me with a project. I forgot to take a finished picture. It is in the boy's room and he is sleeping so you will have to wait to see it till next time.

~We dug out the summer clothes. The boy was really excited about this. I am worried because he is starting to dress like my dad.

~This beautiful little girl turned 4. It was a big deal for her. We were all sick at the time so it was not the most fun and we had to postpone her birthday party till next week. Daddy did take her out for a special Birthday dinner to Red Robin. She thought it was the best thing ever. She loves her daddy time and she really loves Red Robin. 

 ~Sunday we went for a practice walk for the 5k that we are walking as a family this Sunday. We were pretty stoked about it, so much so that we didn't think to check the weather. We got 2.1 miles from home when it started raining. Lovely. Good thing there was a creepy building at the park for us to take shelter. Jericho ran home (in the rain, in jeans and a hoodie) and got the van to come save us. The kids and I were still sick so we didn't think it was a good idea for us to attempt walking home in the rain.

~I started experimenting with ways to get the kids to eat healthy things. This was a huge success. A blueberry/banana smoothie with these things hidden in it. Point for mommy.

~We played outside. This boy was really happy about that.

She is such a good big sister.

~I am finally starting to finish some things up with Grace's room. I will hopefully be able to post "finished" pictures soon! I am currently working on the curtains and painting some shelves. Yay for progress.

~The kids got haircuts. It was much needed. Ollie was a bit apprehensive. His mullet is gone though, and that is a good thing. :)
